Being a Recruiter in Bulgaria
It was very different 15 or 20 years ago. The profession has evolved from an administrative role for a small number of chosen ones to a necessary and highly sought-after role, even more than that of a salesperson or manager. The recruiter is the specialist on whom the success and results of the company depend. Recruiters have become favorites, and every employer wants to have several top experts among them based on their needs.
Right now, it’s almost as hard to find a good and experienced recruiter as it is to find a top programmer or software engineer. On the other hand, this job is no longer mysterious, secret, or enigmatic, as it was in the days of a highly employer-dominated market.
We are trying to attract interest and inspire future and new HR specialists. Here are
my 9 reasons to be a recruiter:
1. I change people’s lives.
Yes, I do this professionally, and I can help many people achieve a better career and life. A recruiter provides advice, valuable information about the market, and the right timing for a change. A conversation with a recruiter can offer an outsider’s perspective and can make us love and appreciate our current job, company, and position even more. A recruiter can provoke us to get a promotion based on our current status. Thank them for reaching out to you, don’t ignore them, and don’t be rude! Be glad for their interest.
2. I help and change businesses in the country and the region.
Yes, I have superpowers to inspire the best professionals. I can make a company face difficulties with its personnel. I can give an advantage to an employer by attracting the best. By assisting with change, I significantly impact key positions in many businesses.
3. I can earn well.
Being a good recruiter is well paid. The best among us know what brings results, how to attract candidates, and deserve a good reward. I can work on many projects and send invoices for large sums. I negotiate and sell my expertise well, also to candidates. I can clearly justify the value I provide.
4. I can decide when and how much to work.
As a recruiter, I can choose which projects to accept and which to decline. I manage and organize my workload, balancing work and personal time.
5. I can work from home or from any quiet place with internet.
There’s no need for an in-person interview every time. I can work on projects for every continent. The phone was invented long ago, and now I have video calls to contact candidates and clients. I have a smartphone, laptop, or tablet. Well, yes, I also need social networks, but I’m getting better at online searching and automation. I use software and different systems.
6. I never stop learning and developing.
I consult the best companies and the most interesting industries, learning from every business and many clients. I don’t need to be tied to one company for years; I have the privilege of working for dozens of companies, being inspired and learning from hundreds of managers, and meeting thousands of candidates.
7. I can have fun.
As a recruiter, I don’t miss events, conferences, forums, cocktails, and receptions. I’m a social animal and personally know the most interesting and capable business stars.
8. I am a trusted person and I’m entrusted with many professional and personal secrets.
I know how to keep a secret and be discreet. Many people trust me. I have access to firsthand information about business before others. I uphold business ethics and keep my word. I expect the same from the people I work with.
9. I never stop learning, becoming better, gaining knowledge from my colleagues, and mentoring new team members.
I share my experience and help my team to be better and better. I train my resilience, despite daily challenges. But these challenges make me even better at my craft.
These are my reasons. I didn’t know them when I started working in this profession, but even now, I would choose to be a recruiter. Choose it too! Send us your CV.
